Missy’s Monarchs

Specker: Melissa Erlich: I've been raising Monarch butterflies for 20 years. I've learned everything about the process from my dad, Butterfly Bob. He learned about this from reading an article in the Chicago Tribune about a woman, "Queen of the Monarchs," in the suburbs who raised them. He went out and found some milkweed with eggs on it, and the rest is history. My Dad and I have been educating the public by visiting schools, clubs, or inviting people to our homes to see all the stages of the Monarch Butterfly in action. 

Program: Learn all about Monarch butterflies and what flowers to plant in your garden to attract them! A discussion of Missy Monarch Sanctuary and we can learn about Monarch butterflies. We will also learn about all the stages of a Monarch from eggs to butterflies!
